rear differential

As some of you know i was out at RAF marham yesterday. Matt and i think we have got to bottom of our oulton park crash and could be the pre load on the diff. basically the car rotated on me at about 130mph in a STRAIGHT LINE between corners this happened going across a change in track surface from tarmac to concrete matt talked with JR today and has advised us that the preload on our standard road diff is not high enough so the diff is off to reidy to make the modifications required. If anybody else is using a road spec cone BTR diff i would advise them getting it checked over by john. I would hate to think somebody else has the same experience as i did yesterday. Now the good news we appear to have sorted the brake stability out now (stiffer front springs have done job) so hopefully snetterton should be incident free for the blue 55 flying machine. Matt is now hoping he can spend the budget on improving the car further instead of rebuilding wrecked rear ends!!!!. I know he has a few neat ideas up his sleeve

Hi chriss at least its not in your bodyshop this time minus half of the car. I was just a passenger once it reached the grass thankfully the trees were far enough away to avoid. Going backwards looking over to my left seeing trees flash by had me thinking the worst while trying to keep it in a straight line.
