Calling NormanD -Jaguar World
Discussion
Hi
Just read Jag World where they have have a review of NormanD's car.
I love the colour and work done.
A few of questions,
- I see you have got rid of the Brembo brakes and replaced them with Hi-Spec calipers. Are these better? how much does it cost?
-How are you getting on with the Manual gearbox conversation?
- How much faster does the car feel with 550bhp?
Cheers
PS
Excellent work!

I purchased the brakes second hand from a PH member with a XJR for someone else, but had a long peddle issue so in the end put them on my car to find a how to get over it. Had to resort to changing the master cylinder to a larger size, the pots in them were just to big.
They do work well but makes an expensive job of it, I have since heard that they are now putting in smaller pistons.
Regarding the manual conversion, I'm still weighting to hear that the Black box will work, should have gone for testing this month, looks like May now. The mechanical side is sorted but will not start getting bell housings etc made until I get the OK regarding the electrics.
550 horses really make the car fly, overtaking just isn't a issue.
Do need the Quaife diff in to get the power through the tyres onto the road
If you are looking to follow any of the upgrades I've done do give Tom at TLJaguar a ring 07966 267806 or 0118-976-2899
He can then give you the time scale and pricing for your requirements

That looks truly spectacular - one of the most appealing XK's I have seen - I will certainly go off and buy the magazine now. The bodykit if that is what it is is superb - subtle and enhances the car's looks. I can't help wondering what it all cost. Maybe Jaguar World will tell me!
Norman - you should write a book about this.

Regarding costs, that was helped by some good deals
(also Vicyoria may read it and want some new dresses)
I had thought of doing a web site on it
Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
