First gear popping out
Discussion
Had the uprated Nylatron gear linkage (from EliseParts) fitted recently.
Works well apart from first gear popping out whilst going round roundabouts! Doesn't do it in a straight line.
And to be fair it's only done this a few times, certainly not every time. Never happened with the old linkage.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

The adjustment is generally made under the car. The two rose-joints have a threaded connector between them. I think you have to lengthen or shorten that connection to make the adjustment... I can't remember which, but it'll list it on the instructions that came with the EliseParts kit.

Did you measure the old rose joint length before fitting the new one as a guideline ? If you still have this, then it may be a 10 minute fix after the undertray is off.
Nope, I asked a garage to fit it.I was under the impression the only adjustment needed when fitting the new linkage was in the crossgate direction. I assume the popping out is an issue in the fore/aft direction...
