Radiator Problem

Need a bit of advice if possible.

One of the plastic end caps on my radiator has 'popped' I understand that they are unrepairable and the 2 options are have are to have new end caps made out of brass at the cost of about £250.00 or to buy a new radiator at a cost of about £500.00. What do you reckon? The radiator core itself is in good condition, it has been in the car about 3 years and has probably only done about 5,000 miles (if that is relevant)

Or buy a refurbed original. There were some on ebay.

talk to your locall specialist - I just got mine done for 330 odd Inc fitting - I think they used a recore & swapped mine out but I have 12 m warranty and no hassle :-)

I got this one when mine severely popped. I just was not confident that the old rad even after refurb would last, but others have refurbed theirs on here with great success.

Have a search around for local companies, I had my rad re cored with new end bits as it was buckled in the crash. A local company did it for £150. They even picked it up and brought it back to my house for that!
