I'll permit that, it barely qualifies as a car.

they had their good days, but I can't see a single one on the market today worth buying, let alone the risk of it breaking on you

Renault Megane Scenic.

People/families still carry on buying them in droves, despite the fact they are blighted with so many common faults and niggles. Then they go on Watchdog to moan about something they would have been aware of if they had spent even 5 minutes researching before buying....

Same for the Espace really. And the Laguna 2...

Do you see a trend here?

Worst in terms of value, yes, definitely something from the VAG stable, maybe the Golf.

Not the worst in absolute terms though, surely that has to be a Corsa or something?

There are so many to choose from but I'm going to suggest two cars.

The new Fiat 500 and the Mini.

Not because they are bad cars but because of what they represent.

Taking names that were synonymus with cheap affordable cars for the people and turning them into an over priced fasion accessories that most people buy because of they are 'Cool'.

Fooking hate the whole concept.

As for a car that genuinley is bad, The Land Rover freelander. Not sure about the new model but the old one was a huge steaming pile of ste.
