Yes, saw it today. Quite nice but don't see it as a 'collectable'.
Thought their white Boxter Spyder (at a fraction of the cost) looked more interesting and more fun -a lightweight Porsche in the true sense, to use and enjoy on road or track. That would be my choice (but without the halfords side stripes).
Did like the 'Fuchs' wheels on the SC though - apparently now available for some other models - costly but stunning.

Saw the white Boxster Spyder coming over the bridge from Silverstone and then leaving but saw the red BS being put through its paces (and beyond occasionally!) on the Porsche track. I drove the Sport Classic at a press evening at Silverstone on Monday. It certainly looks special, but I made the mistake of driving it directly after the GT3, so was slightly undewhelmed by the experience.
It's definitely a beautiful piece of kit though, and the duck tail and Fuchs wheels look stunning. Unfortunately it's only being made in LHD, which seems a bit of a shame when you're spending £140k. I know that the Carrera GT was LHD only, but that's an entirely different proposition.
I asked how much the Fuchs wheels would be as a retrofit and was told that pricing is likely to be around 4,500 Euro! I'd still love to put them on my own car though.
All that said, the biggest surprise of the evening for me was the Boxster Spyder. I literally wanted to lap all night in it, it's THAT good. Even though I'm no great fan of PDK, in the Spyder with paddle shifters, the whole package was superb. I truly think that it's one of the best cars that Porsche has made in years, and if I could count on a bit of sunshine in this country once in a while, I'd buy one tomorrow.

Agree. There are only three current Porsche models that really excite me: Boxster Spyder, GT3 and GT3RS...Saw a number of these Sport Classics at the factory yesterday, not sure they are going to be a "classic" but they look different enough to be interesting. To my eyes the Boxster Spyder looks far more interesting & cohesive a design, and talking to a dealer there, apparantly its been a massive sales hit.... reckons Porsche have hit a a big home run with this one !
I think the Spyder will likely be sought after in the years to come, whereas the SC less so.
There was also an English registered GT Silver CGT at Zentrum.... obviously gone back home for some TLC !!

This car is lost on me (I realise I am in a minority). I think it is a shameless marketing rip off - and at twice the price of a C2S, and more than various GT models makes no sense - especially when most of the options are/will be available, so loads of similar cars will pop up.
I guess as they are sold out this is largely irrelevant, but I cant see them becoming major collectors cars or holding anything like their list price - happy to be proved wrong!
