Been told my diff needs replacing on e36 M3 evo.......Anyone know a rough idea of cost to get this done?

No idea about cost, but give Birds a call and get a Quaife Diff.

I've just swapped out my standard Evo diff for a different ratio more suited to the track. Your biggest enemy is seized bolts, but now everything is free I can swap a diff over in about 2 hours. Basically you have to remove the rear ARB for access, remove driveshaft (12 bolts), two bolts at the front size of the diff and then 4 at the rear. Easy

p.s. I will be selling my original diff when I get back from holiday in the middle of May, done 81k miles.
