Throttle Pots on a 4.2?

I need to replace my throttle pots on my cerb, i rung ford and quoted the part number but he said that wasnt a part number they could use, so my question is has anyone recently replaced them and can give me an upto date part number, or where is the best value for money place to get them from.

You won't save much by going to Ford - maybe £1, if you check the parts FAQ in this forum you can get the part numbers - alternatively try the usual outlets: TVR Car Parts, Racing Green etc - they were all about the same money when I looked for some for my 4.5

Are the 4.5 same as 4.2?

The 4.2 ones are white and the 4.5 are blue. I bought mine from Clever Trevor.

Woah! what a huge price difference, £34.50 from Clevor Trevor or, are you ready for this? £81.94 from racing Green!!!!

They should be about around the £27.00 mark from a motor factors like Euro Car Parts

Just paid £40+VAT each from RG, seemed consistent with other sources. I didn't realise there was so much difference for the 4.2!
