Web developer/designer wanted in Cambridgeshire/Essex

We're having trouble finding a decent web developer so I thought I'd try my luck here.
It's a full time on site position working as part of a small team on scientific (life science research) websites. The salary is very competitive with a generous pension, healthcare (including dental), and a very relaxed international working environment. The catch: we want someone quite good.
We're looking for someone who has Java skills who could help out on the back-end (e.g. Java, Struts or other frameworks), but mainly they will concentrate on the front-end design. Strong javascript, CSS and AJAX skills would be great, and you should be able to point to some examples of your front end design work. Would suit perhaps someone who has worked on custom Java/JSP web applications (so not just a template skinner) but who is more interested in the creative aspects of developing sturdy, usable and functional dynamic web applications.
