Looking through the AA website and it doesnt really make it clear, but there is something about 10 year old cars.

Looking to get road side and relay for the wifes focus, just realised thats just over 10 years old, and also the mini which is highly modified and 20 years old.

Does anyone know if they bump the premium up on older cars or that just dont cover them?

i think it is more to do with the £500 contribution towards repair that the 10 year cut off refers to. forget what this service is called

Quotations from the AA start from £29 per year. This increases to £80 per year for a car over 10 years old. Needless to say I didn't bother.

They cover any year car, you just can't use the £29 single vehicle option. The next level at about £39 covers you in any car or you can increase your cover to relay, home-start etc.

RAC covers you not the car, they had no issues when asked to recover my 85 year old car and they even asked if there was anything special thay needed to bring with them.

Pretty sure I'm covered as an individual with the AA - the policy was about 100 quid though. The Jag is 22 now
