indicator problems

For a while now I have been having intermitant problems with my right turn indicator. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt but it is becoming increasingly worse to the point that travelling to and from chatsworth at the weekend it wouldnt work at all. when i say wouldnt work it appears to be the front right indicator only - the flasher repeats faster than normal and I think the rear and side lamps are working.

I stripped the front indicator down and checked the connections, etc and all appeared fine and standing in the garage all the lights worked?

Wondering if it could be something else?

- control box in the boot?
- ribbon cable?

...why is just one lamp though?

Just one being a prob sounds like the wiring to a lamp, the lamp itself or the lamp connections? When a lamp flashes more quickly this is usually cos the other bulb has blown.

Know what you mean Gazzab...and agree its the most likely cause...think I'll have another look at the weekend.

Managed to get away from work earlier last night and had a quick look at the Cerb - switching the indicators on and gently banging / tapping the front indicator brought the indicator on and off - seems Gazzab was right! At least I know what i'm doing at the weekend...

Hi when I changed the indicators from yelleow to white both the connectors where more than on there way out, years of road water/dirt etc. so put new connectors on, so as others have said prob be the wires/connectors easy cerb repair lol
