I have just caught my front nearside wheel on a 'rat run' stopper. The road was actually too narrow for the car and the nearside front scraped just the rim a little. Its a 19" 20 spoke Diamond Cut with Graphite. Also a small tear shows on the tyre wall.
How do I get the wheel sorted? I live in Chichester (West Sussex) but am at present in Dartmouth, who would you recomend? How long do I have to be without the car,and how thick is the tyre wall?
Finally the edge of the front bumber just in front of the tyre has a small scrape at the edge. Feels like plastic (shows white and should be Casino Royale) (59 DB9).Is this something I can improve as it really is too small for a body shop. Can some of the 'detailers' give me some advice?

Well its a shame the wheel is poished, as you could have just got a mobile guy to do it, but i dont think many do polished rims. You might have t take it to the dealer to sort out.

Can you post a pics of the scratch. If its not too bad, it might be able to be removed by a detailer, but chances are, its going to need paint.

Thanks Francis. I have sent pic by mobile phone as I do not have download capability on my boat.
Does any one know the wheel specialist that Dealers use, apparently in B'ham? and takes a week.

If they are the same as mine as below then the wheel had to go away for 3 days. As per my previous thread this was through a dealer and the wheel came back damaged. So another 3 days away next week. Most in the Kent area on here recommend Lepsons in Gillingham. Wish now I had listened, although probably too distant for you!

I have the polished Sports pack wheels on the N400. They car is in Harwoods in Chichester at the moment for an annual service and they are sending 2 of the wheels away to rectify mild kerb damage. They have quoted £125 + VAT for each wheel, and they need the car for a few extra days. I'm sure they'll ensure a good job, the guys I spoke to in the aftersales team very very helpful. I'll report back on the quality of the repair when I get the car back next week.

Rich.

Not quite the same wheels Di and your story sounds like too many days when the car is not available to play with. Thanks for info tho.
Sabre, I found Nigel a good guy with condensation in the lights and rattling sat nav so maybe I will go back to him when I get home.
