If I was PM, all stations would have to have a cat.

Fab.

Steam engines, dry stone walls, canals and narrowboats, real ale, fish and chips, dandelion and burdock and the rolling hills of England's green and pleasant land.

I can't think of anywhere else in the world that I'd rather be than Lancashire, Cumbria or Northumbria.

Thanks Killsta you saved me a job smile
TBH it's my favorite haunt on the bike around Ribblehead. The road from Settle to Ribblehead then onto Hawes is some of the best driving roads in the country.
Shame I've got to go through Bradford and Keighley before I get there.

Now I'm just waiting to do the "Top Gun" style race with a Steam engine towards Settle biggrin

Great pics BTW. Tornado passed my house last week but I missed it frown

+1 on the roads around Hawes. Also +1 on having to drive through those st holes to get to said roads.

Nice pics though, thanks for sharing. There is something strangley romantic about old steam engines. smile

Having been born and raised in the County of Lancaster, I couldn't resist the temptation to cock a snook at those on the other side of the hill.

But I have to concede that there are some parts of Yarkshire that are almost as charming as Lancs.
