Anyone able to offer some help as to the cause of this problem? The bonnet catches are stuck - fortunately in the open position so I can open the bonnet! The knob will not rotate (only very slight movement) and trying to twist the under-bonnet end still won't get it to budge.
I've noticed a knurled bolt under the knob cannot see what it does.
The bars and catches themselves are all fine and able to move. What's missing is the rotation!

Any suggestions, prior experience?

Cheers

I had the same problem and found that there is a small grub screw bellow the knob which has a sprung loaded ball on the end of it (you can't see the ball bit untill it is fully out), i unscrewed it slightly and this enabled me to turn the knob freely. I think it needs a 5mm allen key to adjust it.

Mine stopped closing when one of the spars had snapped. The rod looked ok, but couldn't align into the hole correctly.

A bit of diy with a dremmel and some superglue and all was well.

Perfect solution Kevin!

Many thanks - I wasn't sure what the screw did and as it didn't budge, I didn't want to force it. Spot on with the 5mm Allen key - gentle coercion and it turned, freeing up the knob and solving the problem. The catches now engage smoothly again!
