travel insurance..
Discussion
I need to get an annual multi-trip insurance for the family. The options thrown up by MoneySupermarket.com seem suspiciously cheap, starting from £25P/A for a family of 4 covering Europe with company's I have never heard of like 'Multitrip.com' . Can anybody recommend a good insurer? Particularly after the volcanic ash debacle - which ones turned out to be 'goodies' following that? I think I heard HSBC were good, and Saga bad?
I've actually used multitrip.com (they're underwritten by Axa) and I'd recommend them.
They do different levels of cover as I recall - read the policy details, you'll probably find the cheaper policy doesn't cover you to any great extent, hence the price.
I had cause to claim against the policy when I'd booked a holiday, paid a deposit and was then made redundant. They paid out without issue and even sent me a nice covering letter wishing me all the best in my search for a new job.
