The "MVPA" between Alloa and Stirling which sold petrol at knock-down prices semms to have closed/been closed. It's blocked off by huge concrete blocks and last week I saw a police van parked outside several times.

Anyone know what happened? HMCR caught up with him at last?

There has been loads of rumours about this place. Supposedly there was a hugely succesful local family behind this at one time, then there was talk of arrests and stuff. Loopholes due to joining a club or monitoring useage and paying a membership fee and only a set amount of fuel allowed per month were all widely voiced.

The petrol bit has been closed for some time, I would guess the concrete is more likely down to a dispute between the guy who was selling vans there and the chap who i think owns the land.

The van seller possibly didnt have a liscence as all of a sudden the ticket prices were lying on the seats and not in view. It may just be down to the landlord protecting the lot now its vacant. who knows?

All gossip, one things for sure if the chap who i think owns the land was involved he may have tried bending a rule or two but if was found to be illegit would have stopped as he is a decent guy (and very very successfull businessman).

flipflop, i think it is mr s that owns the land, well it was when pinnicle tried to make it a sales centre when i worked in the falkirk branch. damn i hated that place, but it paid the bills. anyway, if it is still mr s who owns it, its definately to stop ppl setting up on the land, as he knows if you can get access in scotland then you cant be removed
