wing mirror door switch
Discussion
Search through http://australia.rs-online.com/web/ there is a UK site as well, you should find lots of cool stuff for you car there.
Cant be sure, but I believe you have to remove the wing mirror glass first. If you press the nearest side of the mirror to the car all the way in and then put your fingers into the back of the side that is ticking out and PULL, the glass should spring of. Once of you will see the wires that lead to the switch and gain access to the switch that you use to open the door.
Ive replaced my button.
It's pretty easy to be honest.
Click the glass fully left or right. You need to get your fingers behind it and pull it out. Dont be shy with it as it should not break. The glass is attached to a cradle that clips over the electrical mechanism that moves it.
Once its popped out the button is exposed.
The connectors on the button sometimes corrode, if so you will need to replace them and they are very small and it is a bit fiddly.
