Been playing about with Windoze Movie Maker but my friend can't view the .wmv files on his computer.

Is there a program I can download to change the formats to .mpeg's or .avi's so he can view it?

TIA

Do you know of anything that I can convert to mpg's.

I've done a short vid 11mb in .wmv and in avi the quality is not very good and it was 89mb

There's a tool called AVI 2 MPEG but if your starting to get into time limited trials or buying them.

www.FlyDragonSoft.com for AVI2MPEG on a 30 use trial.

Otherwise you'd need something like Adobe Premiere with a WMV plugin.

Edited to add AVI/MPEG's are always a lot bigger than the original WMV.

Thanks for the offer, I'm really just playing about with your Viginia Water video as I've just got XP and movie maker, went to show it to my friend but he can't open .wmv files.

It's nothing important

I normally use a program called ArcSoft VideoImpression to convert files but it won't open WMV's

I downloaded it from Sleepy-Fish as an .mpg before you took it down (I think, might've been the .wmv I downloaded)

When I edit it and then save it to show someone or view it myself it is saved as a .wmv
