Picked this up approx a month ago during a trip to Glasgow. I had been serious about buying a planet ocean for a few weeks previous as I was aware of the impending price rise so I decided to bite the bullet. Managed to negociate a bit of discount from the saleswoman too which was nice.

This is my first expensive watch and I cannot believe the quality of it, from the detail on the back, the movement, the chunkiness and the sturdy feel of it.. Not to mention the weight of the thing!

I use it as a daily wearer and intend to pass it on to my children (hopefully not for a long while yet as I'm only 18!) This, however wasn't the only reason for purchasing this particular watch.. I used money that I had recieved when I turned 18 to buy it and it will always serve as a reminder of where it came from.

So far after over 5 weeks of ownership I still can help but stare at it in admiration.. It's an event outting it on each and every morning, because of my abnormally large hands, I decided to go for the big size model so it had a bit of presence on my wrist.. Something which was a necessity for me.

Anyway here are some photos, excuse the quality, they were taken using my iPhone, if anyone wants me to I may take some photos using the digital camera but I'm sure most of you are familiar with what a black steel planet ocean looks like smile

only photo I have of me with watch on.. Excuse the comedy pose haha

attempted lume shot

thanks for looking smile

Were you over here seeing the hoops perchance?
Nice watch, get better pics up wink I really thought a speedy pro was the watch I wanted for my 40th, but I've been thinking a 45.5mm PO might fit the bill better as my present 40mm ecodrive looks tiny on my fat wristfrown Best I go and try one on! Kudos for sticking your pic up on PH by the way.

Stevokenevo: thanks mate, I too tried on the speedmaster pro and the face was tiny IMO in comparison but it's down to personal taste as you know yourself.. Unfortunately I didn't get taking in a game whilst I was over as it was during the week I was there, had an interview for the university of Glasgow in the westend, ended up going to 'the stand' comedy club.. Had a great evening!

You reckon I made a mistake posting that photo?.. Oh dear lol

Shadowninja: yeah as you can tell I was ecstatic! Long story behind that photo you see lol

Never post that pic outside this particular gentlemanly establishment or you'll see it for years to come photoshopped with the addition of various neon coloured sex toys and a variety of distressed animals.

Enjoy!

I owned the same model with the orange bezel some time ago but just found the face too large. I now have the full size Bond SMP which seems to be the perfect size for my wrist!

Thought we best have this quoted in case he realises the foolishness of his actions and edits it!
