Can anyone suggest a good hotel?

Got the opportunity to go away for the weekend with mrs emsman.
Can anyone suggest a decent hotel- no more than 100 miles from Milton Keynes.
Would ideally like a pool if poss.
It's been years since I went anywhere other than poxy travel lodges with work, so any suggestions gratefully received

The Madejski is a good 4* hotel, lovely pool and sauna - nothing special about the hotel, it's a business hotel during the week.

But with the meal deal attached - it's a great offer! We live in Reading, and occasionally use this to get away from the kids.

A lovely gothic manor house just outside Stratford Upon Avon so not far for you. Nice (if small) pool and lovely ground to wander around.
