Your dream garage - cars from only one year
Discussion
If you had an unlimited budget for a dream garage, but could only choose cars from one year in history, which year would that be? The cars must have been manufactured or sold new in that year.
I'll start the ball rolling with 1992
Firstly, my two dream cars:
Senna's Mclaren:

The Mclaren F1:

And all this other tasty stuff too:
Honda NSX:

E30 M3:

Lancia Delta Integrale Evo:

Ferrari F40:

Porsche 964 RS

Lotus Esprit S4:

Caterham 7 JPE

Peugeot 205 GTi:

Any advance on 1992?

I think you picked the best year there!
I was wondering when I posted if it was a little unfair of me to grab 1992. I thought maybe it was just my taste.Hang on - I missed off the car that started all this! Editing my post now...
The crazy thing is that as mouth watering as that garage seems, if I missed off the top two and the F40, the whole lot could be had for around the price of a brand new Lambo or Ferrari

1972

MGB GT (Tahiti Blue)
Norton Commando (one in black and a silver TT spec' one)
Lotus Europa (JPS colours)
Jensen Interceptor (midnight blue manual overdrive)
Triumph Stag V8 (Hard top Manual overdrive saffron yellow, soft top auto in blue)

Still not convinced?
Lambogini Miura (orange)

1997 I think.
F355 Berlinetta
McLaren F1
BMW 750i
Mk1 Mazda MX5, obviously!
Land Rover Defender TDi
Audi A3 1.8T shopping car.
I'd be happy with that little lot I think, maybe a Brazilian import VW Type 2 with a Danbury conversion too...
Good call. If you roll it on a year to '98 you can have a Caterham R500 and a 106 GTi too :-)F355 Berlinetta

FWIW 1992 seems hard to beat. E34 m5 was a also a corker from that period. Oh and the very last 944 turbos.

It is quite amazing looking back all the cars that were about at the time of my birth. Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
