The new 5.0 XKR is superb. It is a quality product, now with adaptive dynamics puts it into a different segment. Where the steel XKs had pace a grace, they were just a GT. The new Jaguars are now performance cars, with ediff's, sound handling/ride and power to meet the looks. It is now a proper Sports GT.
Jaguars are very reliable, relatively cheap to own and operate if you ignore the depreciation.
As for space, there is more upfront than the predecesser, but less in the rear and boot. I'm 6ft and had no issues, the coupe has more headroom than the soft top. However if you like your seat right back you won't be able to recline the seat too far as the seat electrics wind up the seat back the further back you wish to be.
Enjoy.
