So, first games kick off tonight. Do we think the Paddies will turn over the Windies? How will the Afghans do? Will England play a T20 like a one dayer rather than a test match?

Mickey Vaughn says it's the first time he's seen a decent top 7 batting order for the Poms - will England claim there first ICC Trophy, or will the Cloggies do us again?

What will Pakistan do?

All discussion here!!

Looks real slow, why have we taken peitersen ? just can't understand it , we have enough batting, without him coming home half way through , really think we have the team to win it this time .

India or Pakistan to win it for me (if they decide to turn up that is), although I think Pakistan will really miss Umar Gul.

Aussies are unseeded, so be intersting to see which group they (possibly) go in to for the next stage

Entertaining innings from the Aussies - David Hussey hit four 6s in an over and then with an over left, Australia went from 191-5 to 191 all out!

Right, first England match - hopefully the rain will stay off and we can actually play some entertaining 20 over cricket.

It was said on TV that the D/L calculations are the same as those used for a 50 over match - it seems that they need some tweaking for T20.

England scored at more than 9.5 rpo for the whole 20, yet the Windies were only required to score at just 10 rpo over the course of just 6 overs. I'm not sure if the fielding restrictions are altered in this situation, but for at least half their overs the Windies would have batted with only 2 fielders protecting the boundaries too!

The rules ain't right in my opinion. That was a fantastic score that we set the Windies and the rules should be changed to reflect the smaller number of overs. There was a good chance we would have won that game. Seems all wrong to me. Don't often call for rule changes, but 20*20 is new and the administrators need to adapt. Sort it!!smokin

No, only the best ODI innings they have ever had.....

Bloody farce in the second innings though - we was robbed, and the D/L method needs massively revisiting for T20s.

Ireland have just restricted England to 120.

They now have a serious chance of chasing this down and sending England home.

Mind, the pitch is not great for batting.

Great planning, short format cricket in Guyana in the rainy season, where it pisses down every afternoon.

If the ICC ever ran the winter olympics, they'd be staging them in Dubai in the summer.

Kevin Peterson - what a waste of space. Terrific talent, brains none. Just to check the shot he got out to yesterday really was a bad one, he tries it again today - he was right. Then walks off with a stupid grin on his face!!
I am not sure he really has much to contribute to this England side. We have 10 fairly unspectacular players giving their all, and he just doesn't seem to give a monkeys.

having half watched both England games - I think they should rename it "celebrity weather forecasting" as most of the time there was no cricket and the chaps were chatting about the weather!
