The "Cycling Compression Underwear Set" for £9.99 looks like it might be worth a look. the Skins stuff is suppused to work quite well but its about £80 for a set! I think I might get one just for the shorts. They'd be good for both under baggies when downhilling and under waterproof shorts for XC in the rain, stops the mud rubbing when it gets inside the bottom of your shorts.

Actually, the socks for £2.49 and the jacket might be quite good too.
Also, in a total bike geek moment I've started to wonder what bike the guy has in the photo for the jacket. I think it might be an old Kona DH bike, '98 with White Brothers DH 180 forks. It also has a sweet bar and stem, and interestingly only one brake.

Considering how meaty those forks are there doesn't seem to be much travel on them (tops of 140mm i'd say). It does have a rear disk, but no caliper or anything. That stem does look rather manly though!

Well spotted. It is a Kona Stab DH, i have the same frame, except with the longer travel linkages.

This pic was taken before i had the rear caliper adapter machined to fit. (had just recieved the frame in the post so built it up with spares i had lying around)

Just realised its the same bike for all the other photos. It is a '98 Kona Stab with a set of White Brother UD 150 forks (I think, they did UD150 and UD180 forks back then) and an old Hope front brake

This weeks offers couldn't have been better timed for me.

After a gap of about 15 years without a road bike on Tuesday I picked up a 2nd hand Trex 1200 off ebay and the seller chucked in shoes, gloves and glasses too !

Today bought shorts, jacket, socks and pants from Aldi and headed out for my first ride - thoroughly enjoyed it, the fitness plan starts here !
