I'm after some thoughts ....

My house has a poorly constructed kitchen extension into half of my double garage.

I'm about to change the kitchen - It would be an easy job and ideal time to get my double garage back ... Should I go for the double garage or stick with what I have?

I'm so tempted to convert it back and have space for two cars; bikes; toys etc ... but maybe less attractive to future buyers?

Depends if I was buying your house.

To expand on Stig's post, I could eat my rice crispies whilst sitting in the comfort of a sporty second car parked in the garage. However, I couldnt park that car in a nice NEF double oven could I?

I bought a house once because it had a double garage; and... a small kitchen.

Get double garage back. Then turn it into a cinema.

Triple garage, pot noodles and take aways. Everyone's a winner!

If there's an outside chance you're moving anytime soon, leave as it is[/sensible]

OTOH the money saved by only having to do half a kitchen could be spent on a nice toy for your new bigger garage...

I have got a massive kitchen and a nice double garage, so I think you should have both.

Compromise - give yourself another foot or two of garage space so you can store bikes etc, but keep enough so you have decent kitchen space.

Remove kitchen altogether and convert it to a workshop whilst restoring your double garage to its true size.

Cook from camping stove in hall and put fridge etc. wherever there is a handy plug......sorted smokin
