is parked on the drive which is almost flat, it seems to be the handbrake sticking and happens regardless of the weather.
i would leave it in gear and no handbrake, but as it's the wife who drives it 99% of the time you can imagine what would be the result if the car was left in gear
mx5 through the bay window lol.

mx5 through the bay window lol. Sounds exactly like my Mk1, i leave it in the (flat) garage with no hand brake on (out of gear) and they still stick. My brake light hasn't switched off in months. It also squeaks and and groans all the time. Thought it may be a sticky caliper, but aparently not. Nor is it warped discs, its a mystery!
mine did/does this
when i bought it with mintex 1144's on, after a rainy night every single pad would seize ever so slightly to the discs, resulting in a little clonk as you moved off
seemed to go away when i ran organic greenstuffs, but then, so did the braking efficiency
i assumed it was because the pads are metallic and seize slightly to the flash rusting on the discs after rain
