Panic in France

Right, here we go; decided to take sagaris across to france for a friends wedding. Couple of hours after the wipers stopped working, I stopped and lolled at it: the ball stud that fits into the linkage arm has come out and loosely fits back in (keeps falling out).
It started raining. A lot. I've put some of that rain-x stuff on the screen and that helps a bit, but I've still got to drive back. If anyone has any ideas of an emergency fix I would be really grateful. Oh and the speedo broke too.....

Cant really help you re windscreen wipers, maybe some goggles and head out of the window...ace ventura style..
I take it you T350? I am heading to France next week and was wondering if you could help with the following stuff...
- Did you get the channel tunnel or ferry - were there and issues with speed bumps / ramps?
- Did you manage to deduce which of the fuel pumps were high octane or not?
- Did the hotter ambient weather out there make the engine temps go sky high?
Any other advice greatly appreciated!

Mine stayed fine even in long delays at Le Mans

Got back fine, just tied down the wipers. It was a bit hairy in the rain though......no problems with eurotunnel, fuel, overheating apart from the problems mentioned the car ran like a dream.
Be prepared for some serious attention, we were almost mobbed everywhere we went! Lots of people posing in front of it taking pics, general staring, a sag is pretty rare over there!
Roads and everything else perfect though, got out of the car after 5 hours of driving, lasted about 5 mins before I had to get back in. So addictive. Spent a bloody fortune on fuel though.....
