More screen washer troubles!!
Discussion
Hmm, further to this old threadI've had the front end apart on the car today after a failed MOT due to no washers.
Took the inner arch out and got the pump off the assembly, took both feed pipes off (Front and rear) and gave them a good blow through with the airgun. put everything back together and the fronts work, rears don't. Excellent job, well done, pat on the back all round etc...
re-fit the inner arch liner, put the wheel back on, drop the car back on the floor, put the bonnet down - re-test, nothing. Just the whining of the pump. Grrr, f
king things.
I've checked for kinks in the pipes and can't find any, the reservoir is full, what can be wrong?
Is it possible that I've got an airlock in the reservoir when I was filling it up? is the pump just semi-nackered? Am I just unlucky?
Any ideas?

Yes, I had the jets working fine on Saturday when I had the car jacked up.
I stripped the system last night, and blew it out with an air line from the jet end (just before the T split) and I got all the water to blow out of the reservoir, amongst the large wet patch on the floor was a load of blue gunky stuff, it almost looked like very fine cotton all mushed up. I presume it was some solidified washer fluid or sealant or something.
Either way, it's out of the tank now and they work again (for the time being) or at least the fronts do. Hopefully it'll pass the mot this time!
