...the Tories have more overall votes?

Unlikely I know, but it's conceivable that the above could happen. Would there be mass protests? Civil disobedience?

Sigh a bit and have a cup of tea.

PH would mental but the general public wouldn't really care.

It's possible (I believe) for them to come third in the count of votes but still win the election.

Not sure what happens then TBH, if any of the three main communists get in we're in the st.

I agree (unfortunately) with the above....sigh, shrug and cary on paying taxes frown

Although PH would explode with venom and then be closed down amid claims of stoking rebellion hehe

What will they do?

Shock & dismay on the 7th of May,
Voting cheats and clots,
I see no reason why lies and treason
Should ever be forgot.

Uh, I think it has happened a few times before - the Tories need a lot more votes to get the same number of seats as the lying scum.

I have heard mutterings of a mass strike by typical working guy if Brown is not out next week.

Would be pretty impressive if en masse, 20mil workign people from all walks of life just didn't go into work. 20mil taxpayers.....called in sick for a few days. It would be anarchy!

Whereas if the 8mil dole scroungers and benefit dwellers got up and did fxck all nothing would change at all...

Maybe the Govt would then see who really runs the country?

We'll see if it happens, be cool if it did but I doubt it would.

It isn't new, Churchill got in to power (1951?) when labour got more votes, and 1974 when labour got in with less votes than the tories. First past the post means this can happen.

If labour come behind both libdem & tory, but still have a majority it might be different, 3rd choice wins?

This i would love to be a part of.

The thought of millions of people decending on London and showing that governments should indeed be afraid of their people makes me very happy.

If Brown stays in office (after 2 million fewer votes) I predict civil unrest!
