at the movies

went to the pictures thursday night to see Repo Men...i was quite impressed with the film....the OH however wasnt!!

However...what got me the most was the counter bit wasnt open...so you had to buy the tickets from the machine using your backcard...i'd already withdrew the money from my bank, so was forced to withdrw even more when having to use this machine to buy them...then no-one even checked our tickets (the only people about was the 2 serving the popcorn etc) so really we could've got away without paying in! Next we paid IMO way too much for a stty tub of popcorn (what were they doing?...rationing it as it was so ''busy'')

We get into the screen room and me and the OH are the only ones there, until another couple come in. We also find half eaten popcorn tubs and empty juice bottles laying around. Wasnt impressed at all. Was going to ask for my money back, but the time we got out it was nearly midnight and there was no staff to be seen in the building!!!

I know everyone prefers to download films nowadays, but the good ol' cinema shouldnt be treated badly and neither should the people that still like to go to it on the odd occasion.

Not the experience we get with local cinemas. Even the 'rougher' one has upped its game in recent months. There has been one occaion when popcorn wasn't cleared and they were regularly short of staff (but never no staff!). Maybe it was due to the time of night, no excuse really though.
