No, not me .. The Wedge ..

Waiting for a new company car, have decided to sell my current car early, and put the wedge on the road as my daily drive for the summer.

So .. the check list ..

Having only done 300 miles since the last service 4 years ago, the Car Needs the following ....

Service
Tune up / Setting up
MOT

Insurance
Road Tax

Situated in South Wales, and currently SORN, im looking for a good recommendation to get the Car "Fettled" back into life.

I used to take the car to Peninsula / Dulford, but as I donot have the time to co-ordinate gettign the too and from Exeter, im looking for somewhere a little more "Local" to South Wales.

Can anyone recommend a sympathetic specialist in South Wales, trustworthy to work on a Wedge ?

If your service was omly 300 miles ago - there shouldn't be anything to do except the MOT. You can sort out the setting up after you have taken your car for a long blast which would show up anything else that might need fettling....

My mate owns an MOT & service centre in Neath, ex 400SE owner, looks after all my TVR's. He has a very good name in Neath, always flat out. Won't keep your car in for ages, he has a very high turn over, likes to get things in, fixed & out.

Oooo details please smile ...

I want to get the oil dropped and it all fully re-lubed before it does any silly speeds / too many demands from the mechanicals. Minor things like light pod motors are all new, but need to make aure the linkages are all working, and also things like lights etc all working correctly.

Forgot to mention theres a one way system in Neath, so. If you come from the 465 there's a flyover that goes in to Neath itself, at the mini roundabout go right, at the next roundabout go left up Eastland rd, then left along Geoffrey St, then left along London Rd which takes you around to Rectory Rd.

Hi Jason, if you go up Rectory Rd for about 20 to 30 yds the entrace is on the left. It looks like a lane alongside the row of terrace houses. There's a sign on the pine end of the house there.

Never thought I'd find the answer to my problems under a thread titled 'coming out'. My wedge is looking a bit sad in the garage at the moment whilst I ponder what to do.

MOT time soon and it only passed the emissions test last year by taking drastic steps to alter the mix and then undoing these steps before the ink had dried on the required print out. Needs a more long term fix I think. Also an intermittent brake problem which seems to be getting a lot less intermittent and a lot more permanent. No brake problems at last year's MOT so something not quite so obvious looks to be at fault so I'm thinking a brake master cylinder problem maybe?

Could be another call going in to these guys soon. Anyway, cheers for a useful thread.
