Ferrari Heaven through London
Discussion
I am sorry if this has already been posted but I just wanted to share some pictures of the most amazing moment yesterday after the Gumball 3000 when the owners (some are PHers) of the Enzo, F50, F40 Michellotto and 288 GTO all drove through London during rush hour.
A big thanks to the guys for being so kind and nice to us and for the extreme rev battle that was going on
A truly amazing moment

Nice video well done. Though i am wondering what was the dudes problem in the 288, every one else was cool about reving up.
You can hear it on camera but he did say he was dangerously low on petrol so I dont blame him.You don't want to conk out in a GTO in central London ha!

Cool vide! Love the 288 GT0, shame the guy wouldn't rev it for the camera
Did you read one of the video responces about the GTO owner?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJfLtZiVXiY[quote]SuperSportsCars Excellent vid. I'll take an Enzo and F40 any day; forget the Veyron! I saw the owner of the 288 GTO yesterday; he's a miserable sod! I don't know why he bothers going to an event like the gumball if he's not going to get in the spirit! 23 minutes ago[end quote]

It was around 4 from a rough guess. The modified Tuscan and Ford GT were still there around 30 minutes later. The traffic was really bad, they took ages to get through.
What about the Aston? Was that part of the rally? It only had one seat and you pretty much need a co-driver for this sort of event as they are LONG days. I thought they were all suppost to be gone by 4?munch997 said:
The cars from overseas had to empty the fuel tanks before travelling, so alot that registered early won't have filled up for the start of the rally, the plan for some of tem was to fill up once on the way as they had left it too late on the friday.
Where you at Gumball? I heard you were taking motorway shots or something. Get any good pics? If so please post

Also did anyone else see the driver of he 16m in the gumball revving hard when on the grid and in he process blowing the plods hi viz jacket all over the place as he was standing right behind and trying to communicate via his radio. The driver didn't realize at first and just revved harder when he did. !

The Aston was in the convoy for a short time I belive, but obviously disappeared somewhere to be loaded onto a truck as it wouldn't be road legal. The 430 Challange car certainly was. However the car I was wondering about was the SLR Stirling Moss, as it was part of the Gumball, yet didn't have room for a passenger, and also has no windscreen - wonder if he was doing the whole thing?!
A few pictures of the cars.

A few pictures of the cars.

I was playing cricket from 1pm onwards on Saturday... Went up friday to see the cars if they were around and saw the london - silverstone convoy.
Just working through the videos and photos.

Why did they have to empty their tanks?A) incase you crash land. Any survivors will be blown up and those already blown up will be scattered further.
and B) IIRC the tanks aren't designed for changes in pressure and a full tank can combust. Atleast that's what i was told.
