Anyother PH'ers do it? For those that didn't it's a 66 mile circuit of the Isle of Wight with plenty of killer hills, wind and rain. I did it on my mountain bike with road tyres in 6 1/2 hours including stops. Not bad for a fat lard.

I got the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth then up to Cowes, Wooton, Bembridge, Alverstone, Whitewell, along the Military road to Freshwater and back to Yarmouth. It's a marked route with easy to follow signs. The toughest part was the Military road which is steep and seemed to go on for ever even with a puncture break half way up. They have the event each year and run the route clockwise/anticlockwise alternate years.

I have ridden round the IOW once, but it was more like 72 miles when I did it. (Clockwise.)

I enjoyed the ride, but there are some killer hills in the town down the bottom of the island!

If there is interest in a group going down one weekend from PH, I'd be interested in towing some people on the flats if you wait at the top of the hills for me to huff and puff my way up...
