Struggling with body lift..any tips please?

Hello all

I have decided to lift the body on my S2 to get to the rusty outrigger and repair it, but I just can't seem to get the body to lift off of the chassis and wondered if I had missed anything.

So far I have removed:-

2 bolts in each footwell through the corner plates.
All of the seat belt mounts
The bolts through the floor under the seat belt reels
The bolts through the floor that are tucked up tight at the rear end of the transmission tunnel
2 bolts in the boot that pass through the fuel tank cradle.

I have managed to lift the front up about 2", but when I jack under the rear of the floor, it just seems to be lifting the chassis with it....to be honest, I'm stumped.

Any tips appreciated..

Hi Anthony, try the two bolts top of transmission tunnel at front.

.....thanks everyone.....sussed it...it was the fuel pipe into the tank that I forgot to undo...must have been pretty tight to take the chassis with it..

anyway..started on my outrigger repair now. Thankfaully aapart from the rusty bit, the rest is pretty good. Photos to follow.

If you think that is unusual - for me it was just the boot strut securing nut catching the boot shape that stopped the back end lifting and "flexed" the whole body - had me stumped for hours
