saw these on e-bay if any interest to anyone. The auction still has a few days to go but they seem quite cheap for originals at the moment...

It says Griffith pre-cat wheels. I could be wrong, but they don't seem to be original wheels. They don't look like the (original) wheels I have on my 1993 Griffith.

Have a look. ( http://home.planet.nl/~stege542/car.htm )

Schnozz is right, the ones on ebay are the original wheels for 4 and 4.3 litre Griffs (not including the optional multi spokes). I'm affraid yours were never original spec wheels for a Griff, they are from a Chimaera. Its not uncommon to see Griffs which have been changed to Chim wheels. Check out my profile if you want to see what the originals look like on the car.

Have you placed an add on PH classifieds too? If so, I'm surprised you havent sold them already.

I'm sure there was a thread on here a couple of weeks back where someone was lookng for a set (may have been OZ Multi's though, I cant remember)

Are you sure ? I've seen a couple of Griffith's over here (4) and they all had the wheels I have. Could it be that they were standard for cars being exported to mainland Europe. I can't imagine that all the cars I saw were converted to Chim wheels.

As far as I'm aware Griff production in the UK stopped in December 92(due to CAT laws). Leaving over a 100 cars to go elsewhere, as TVR launched the chim in 93. I would not be to surprised if these 93 cars had a mix of wheels as standard in this change over.

I think £750 is pretty cheap considering that they look in good nick, are now quite hard to find, and are also shod in part worn Goodyear Eagle F1's. I wouldnt be surprised if it hits £1000 before the end of the auction.
