Anyone know what to do with or want some ducklings. Same thing happens every year at our office - mum flies in and lay eggs, they hatch and she leaves. I have about 12 in my air conditioning unit that need a home in the next couple of hours.

Location - Maidstone, Kent.

Any ideas?

Dan

Now happily swimming round a lake in Turkey Mill - er, with all the pikes!

I forgot to say, I rang the RSPCA yesterday and they told me it's not their policy to come out and that they couldn't advise me over the phone!

Mmm, that's about my experiences of them - mixed. Whilst they eventually did come out when I needed them, they would much prefer to have left the job to a 'local animal shelter', of whom they could suggest none.

Surely the RSPB would be better than the RSPCA?

We had a similar issue. My nan found a cat (not hers) that had been hit by a car, took it to the local RSPCA centre, they put it down and then sent her a bill furious

I used to donate to them, but not anymore.

RSPCA and RSPB can go and do one, they're fking diabolical. Used to give them some money when I was younger, not any more, they help nothing.

Had many bad experiences with both, worst being when i saw a Goshawk being shot by the local farmer, rang RSPB.
"do you have evidence?"
"no photographs or anything, but I have the bird with 12 bore markings on it and saw the bloke who done it"
"sorry we won't be able to prosecute, your word against theirs."
