Another eBay idiot

Folks,
Advice appreciated on how to wind up an eBay eejit.
Mrs sold some of our daughters clothes on eBay, one buyer paid immediately, goods were sent next day and good feedback was both left and received.
Roll on 5 weeks and we received the following through the eBay messaging system from the buyer: "hi,having paid strait away,i would have expected the courtesy of positive feedback.the item was lovely and i gave you positive feedback.i have saved your name.every dog has its day.regards"
Nice eh?
How should I (humorously) proceed?

I'm utterly devoid and wit (big on charm, mind) - but why the dickens do people get so wound up about feedback? I eBay half a dozen things a month, if I get positive feedback, great, if not, then it's better than negative, surely?
People who demand five star ratings also get my back up. They tend to get a neutral, or 1-star if I'm feeling mean...

Perhaps stop being slack on giving them some positive feedback, seeing as how they paid immediately and nowadays that's as rare as rocking horse crap on ebay...
Why does everything have to turn into a grudge these days? Am I missing something?
Saying "every dog has its day" is a bit different to saying "How do. Noticed you didn't leave me any feedback, every little helps and all that"...Why does everything have to turn into a grudge these days? Am I missing something?

Yeah, I tend to give feedback, but not really all that worried by getting it back. I've got some feedback and no negative, don't use e-bay all that often so at least I don't look like a joker.
In response, I'd just check if you had left feedback, if not just stick it on and say sorry for forgetting. If you have, then say so?

So you have already left positive feedback? And I thought sellers couldn't leave feedback on ebay now anyway?Sellers can't leave negatives anymore, I think.

Yes. For the others on this thread who have missed that bit, we left the buyer good feedback 5 weeks ago, and the buyer left us good feedback the same day.
My apologies, I missed that bit!
In that case, my only thought is that they're not reading their feedback properly and don't realise you've already left it - in which case, they're definately an eejit!
or they're just weird! The Mrs sent him a reply earlier (I wanted to send something winding him/her up or something that would inflame the situation further for a laugh but didn't get the chance).
Just received this reply: "hi,i cannot apologise enough.the original message was sent to you by mistake.i am very, very sorry indeed.it was ment for someone else.my very best regards to you."
Ah well, the opportunity for some baiting seems to have gone. Probably.
