I had this pop up on mine a couple of months before I sold it. It just means you aren't using it enough. I only used mine at weekends and misty short journeys. A quick spin up the mountains and it would soon charge up!

When it wen in for it's brake fluid change it was put on charge at the dealers and was fine, don't worry about it smile

I've had it about once a year and it has just gone away after a day or so with no ill effects.

This is actually a NIGHTMARE. Mine went in and out of Scothall BMW in Southampton 4 times for a total of 3 weeks leaving me with a 118d for this time! GRRRRR.... Still freaked me out how often I didn;t need to stop at a petrol station!

Each time they came back with a different reason for the battery drain. After market TV in motion gadget. So removed it. STILL had high level of battery drain. Next was After Market radar jammers. BS! Disconnected anyway... STILL high level of battery drain. Next, guess what... aftermarket tracker! Getting desperate now obviously... BS! Took it to an independant who spotted a faulty tracker from previosu owner, the tracker fitted from factory being faulty.... Took them 45 mins to find it! Long story short they were totally incapable of solving the problem and still wanted to charge me a lot of money for identifying the fault! Even though they never found it! They eventually decided not to charge when the dealer principle got involved, who I must say was a very nice guy and very reasonable....

Check out m5board.com if you're not a member already, you should be. There are quite a few posts there about this exact problem and a long list of the various reasons this occurs.
