Free shuttle bus around the circuit

Does anyone know the timetable for the free shuttle bus (route on page 11) or frequency and when the service stars and stops please?

Yes, the timetable is every 15 minutes, from pre-race to post-race.
Of course this is France and the timetable has little to do with reality. I'd guess it's quite good running up to the start and through to early evening when a lot of people are trying to get around. Come the night it's normally more like every 30 minutes, though last year it was unusually poor and more the 60+ minutes between buses.

One year we decided to catch the bus in the evening and watch all around. We got off at the first stop and it took us 2 hours to get on another buss after we had been watching for an hour. The que at the next stop was silly long and we heard tales of 3-4 hour waits into the wee small hours to get back to camp.

What everyone has told you is about right.
Also, be aware when you pick the thing up at BSJ to go to Arnage, they don't do the logical thing and turn left at the BSJ roundabout, they go clockwise around the circuit, via the museum, outskirts of LM and then way out of town to roads parallel to the Mulsanne straight.
Coming back, they then run anticlockwise. Which is a nice surprise when you think you’re just about to get back.
I could tell you the whole story, but it'll take too long... it features being chased by a mob of Frenchmen, buses bumping into each other, pushing a broken-down Pug 206cc out of the way, then taking one of those seaside style trains and it being held up by a bunch of Danish bandits with supersoakers before ending up in Little Copenhagen.
I did wonder if I'd ever make it back to the campsite alive. It was quite the caper.
