Had the car parked outside on Saturday evening. It rained heavily overnight, and on Sunday morning I noticed that there was some water on the plastic bit on the carpet, in the driver's footwell. Looked closer, and the actual carpet was soaking wet. When I lifted it up, I found a little water puddle under it...

It looked like there was a serious leak, and there was water still dripping around the pedals area from the fuse box and higher up from under the steering wheel.

Then checked on the passenger's side, where there were a few drops on the carpet, but not anywhere near the amount in the driver's side. Also, it was quite damp in the passenger's door, in the storage space on the inside of the "handle".

Has anyone had this? Any ideas of a fix?? Although after drying there were no apparent issues (did around 200 miles since..) I am a bit worried about the waterproofness of the car.

Any ideas/solutions/etc will be greatly appreciated..!

Might be worth taking off the scuttle panel next time you're doing maintenance and checking the sealant around the bottom of the windscreen.
