On Friday I collected this 2008MY Roadster. I owned a Vantage coupe a couple of years ago and loved it, regretted selling it really. The Roadster is lovely - slow and quiet (and yes fuse 22 is gone of course) compared to my silly TVR fun car, but a lot more usable for longer journeys, and the wife now hates me far less. The sportshift box sucks a bit though, but I'll be using the car more as a GT so it's fine wink

That is very nice. I think the SportShift box improves with familiarity, and is actually very good. It can change gear better and more reliably than I can most of the time; I'm certainly no racing driver. On balance however, I'd probably go for a proper manual if I had the chance again. It just gives more flexability to rev the engine on downshifts and when bumbling around car parks evil

+4 stunning, are those wheels graphite or have they been colour coded to the car. Also what is the colour? It demonstrates the point that a clean Aston always looks superb...and nice to see someone who obviously appreciates his car!

I'd second that. Had a manual before and now have SS which I love.

The wheels are the standard graphite/anthracite, so not matching the Meteorite body. To be honest I'm not convinced about the wheels - I tend to think graphite wheels go better on a lighter car. But then I'll look at them again and think they look cool! Relatively easily changed at some point though of course if they begin to irk me smile

Another Tvr owner joining the Aston owners, quite a popular mix..
My girlfriend wouldn`t even get in any of my Tvr`s nevermind drive them, but says she cant wait till i go away working again so she can use the aston, The daughter on the other hand loves the Tvr but will only get in the pilots chair and isnt fussy on the Aston at all.

Have fun and enjoy the nice new toy
