Hi people - help needed! Been trying to get Cerby ready for spring, but hit a couple of probs, and running out of ideas.
Firstly the fuel pump was not priming, so was chasing that problem - pump works with 12v from a battery, inertia switch seems ok, relay working and fuse ok?
Whilst hunting for ideas I suddenly lost all power to the ignition. When pressing the start button there is absolutely nothing - no buzzer, no relays clicking, no dash lights etc. All fuses are ok including the 'big one'. Silver key ok, alarm seems to be working ok. All other electrics are ok - lights, horn etc. The car had gathered some water in the footwells in winter, but the ECU was dry and I have checked all the connection blocks I can find and all are dry and sound. I'm coming to the conclusion the immobiliser has died, but would love some help if anybody has any other ideas?

Battery? Have you tried jump leads? I was surprised how quickly my battery died when it did and how much ooomph it took to then jump start it too!

Or maybe I'm talking rubbish of course? tongue out

Original problem sounds like imobilser problem.

2nd problem could be anything, but try unpluging ingnition unit and see if it springs back to life once plugged back in.

Are you sure the key switch is OK?
The wires fell off the back of mine while I was fiddling with Cig-lighter!
Amazingly delicate!

Managed to knock my silver key the other day, just enough to turn it slightly. Took me 5 mins to work out why I had no ignition.

Is this the one where you press and hold the start button for 20 plus secs?
