After considering Nitrons for a good while I think I have decided to go with AVOs on price and the fact that I dont need ultimate track spec. Also, It sounds like people that have fitted AVOs have found that they are far far better than the standard kit.
I hope to fit them myself and get the geom set up later by someone that knows exactly what they are doing!.

I have 2 questions. Are the shocks/springs easy to fit and should I replace all bushes at the same time?

All advice welcome

Bought my car with AVO's on.
Took them off and put the standard dampers back on.
I found with the AVO's that the car was very unstable upon acceleration - the steering did not feel right at all.
Just my opinion.

I've got AVOs and them vastly better than the standard dampers. Having said that, they're a bit more "jiggly" at low speeds, but as it gets going, the handling is much better.

The backs are a piece of pi55, plenty of space to get your hands in and get everything together.

Front....... I spent ages on the first one trying to get the old out and the new in but... i found that if i got the damper almost in then i put the wheel back on (with 1 bolt) and get somebody else to stand on the wheel, it would pull the arm down far enough for me to slide the damper into position.

All in it took about a day for all four corners. I was just working myself except for the girlfriends standing abilities.

You have to spend a bit of time playing with them, set the ride height, go for a drive, set it again as it drops a bit when it settles and play with the damping aswell.

When fitting the fronts, disconnect the anti-roll bar, that way you can lower the suspension arm all the way.
