Hi All,

I've done a search but not come up with anything conclusive.

I just want to connect my OBDII port (Exige) to a PC (USB / Serial etc). Don't need the software, just the cheapest connecter that isn't some Ebay Chinese offering that's going to fry my ECU!

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Regards,

Rob

Something like this?

'Don't need' as in 'I already have it' or as in 'don't need it since I'll just stare real hard at it so it will give me the error codes'? wink

the lead you need depends on the software you are using.
they aren't just connectors, but interfaces.

Search for ELM on eBay. Should find some reputable sellers.

You need an ELM327 OBDII/EOBD to Serial interface, there are loads about.
Personally I use the Gendan Bluetooth version and have had no issues.
USB version of the same here:

Nothing wrong with most cheap Ebay ELM327 interfaces to be honest. Most can be had for £20ish, not really highly technical electronics wise. Just pick one with decent Ebay Feedback.
