best glass cleaner?
Discussion
What do you guys recommend for a really strong glass cleaner.
all i've been using is either fast glass by autoglym or the rainX weather beater. both are reasonably good but i still have marks on the windscreen which are rather stubborn.
said windscreen is the cars original windscreen with the run-in sticker....meaning it's 28 years old now. so i guess it's past it's crystal clear days...just want to clean it up as nice as possible. i also only use kitchen paper to rub it off....what should i be using, if different?
cheers again guys,
Ross.

Ross,
You could give Autoglym Class Polish a go to lift the stains/marks or use a clay bar and lube it with your glass cleaner.
I always use 2x microfibre cloths to clean glass, one for on and one for off.

hmmm i'd never given it a thought to use a clay bar to clean it! think i'll give that a shot and get myself some of this when my rainX runs out:You could give Autoglym Class Polish a go to lift the stains/marks or use a clay bar and lube it with your glass cleaner.

cleaner and then a sealer. the rainX doesn't last 3-4 weeks, this stuff apparently will last up to 3 months. i use their long life sealant and can believe it lasts a while.
thanks!
A decent clay on glass with lubricant is not a bad idea, but something like Einszett Glass Polish is also a good idea as this is a deep glass cleaner and can help remove fine scratches.
Buy some good cleaning cloths too....there are some top cloths for glass available for not silly money.

decided to get the nanolex urban glass sealant. lasts approx as long as the carlack stuff, but beads better. they do some other stuff which lasts a year or so(!!!!) but the water rolls off the windscreen at slightly higher speeds. so the urban stuff is better, but durability not quite as good.
not cheap though, whole cleaner and sealer for £30 including some applicators etc.
