The roads round my way are a disgrace. One of the roads has actually got more holes than road down its length, and it's one of the main roads into the estate. I've told the council twice but nothing's been done. Anyway, it would seem I'm not the only one that thinks this. I came home to find this (not me, but I agree with the sentiment).
Made me chuckle.

It's officially Vehicle Excise, but it's more commonly known as Road Tax

Yes, I know road tax isn't, etc. but it made me smile to see it. Would it make you feel better if it said £1000 per year council tax?

Having actually been to the third world, I dare say most of their roads are better, even the dusty tracks were smooth as a baby's backside.

I can however think of one exception to that, which resulted in me being launched across a bus. But that's another story
