So sorry to hear this Paul. Something we all dread, but thank goodness you're safe and sound (?).
We've met once or twice and I've seen your car several times.
I know how much the car meant to you and how much work you've done on it.
Huge shame.
Chin up mate... then go and buy yourself another one.

Bugger - look on the bright side - at least you were out of the car.
Any bits worth saving? Even a burnt out shell will probably yield quite a few parts to keep some other wedges going, if you can face it it may be worth 'buying back' from the insurance.
Probably got a rolling chassis with engine and at least 3 wheels + doors and boot . Just need body interior and wiring plus all engine bays bits.Any bits worth saving? Will be looking to buy it back from insurance if cheap enough
Just to add my sad feelings for you Paul - you must be gutted
and glad no one physically hurt
Saw how quickly a car can go up in flames a few years ago
and have carried a fire extinguisher in both my cars since
Not a bad investment at only £15 to £20 for a decent size one
that comes with carrier that can be attached somewhere to the car
Hope you sort the insurance satisfactorily
Cheers
Richard
