I've been doing this for a while now. Instead of waving to every Mini driver - most of whom would look pretty blank - I've been waving at other Mini Cooper S drivers without fail. Sometimes they don't notice, sometimes they wonder why someone is waving at them but occasionally, on days like today, you get a smile, a nod or a wave.

So if you see a young chap in an electric blue R56 giving you a wave, give one back!

We were driving through Battle recently, when I pointed out to the girlfriend a Black II MCS with silver viper stripes, driven by a girl, coming the other way. The driver proceeded to enthusiastically wave at us, leading me to frantically wave back - it was the first time it's happened and was really nice. It really cheered me up!

Also, some kids waved at us that same day, so I waved back to them too - that was also cool and should be encouraged!

My friend with a Tuscan 4.0 does a good job, he instinctively drops the clutch and gives it some revs for them - BWAAAAAR!
