I just posted this in the events forum, but thought it may be of interest to some here.

As I can't make Brunters this year I popped along yesterday to stretch the turbo's legs. It was blimmin' freezing and pretty windy - but I had a heap of fun (having the entire circuit to myself!). I now need new rear tyres

As a matter of interest, as I left the circuit my predictive fuel level said I had 41 miles left. I drove 58 miles home and it said I had 110 left

I also wanted to experiment with the bullet cam in the car as I intend to do some fancy filming in the Highlands later this year... and I thought it may be useful to share the footage with anyone going this year for the first time (or anyone else for that matter). So, here's a link (13mb wmv - right click and 'save as' probably best):

Steve that vid is very cool. A nice change from in-car footage.

Using that technique around the highlands would look fantastic.

did the applecross route last year running in my Mk VI after an engine rebuild before le Mans. great route.

many others to choose from: lecht road, A924 strathardle, glen shee, glen isla also A86 to speen bridge, some of my favorites.

haven't done the hero trial or scottish malts trial yet, maybe one day. they are around the same time as le Mans.

Steve,

Downloading as we speak! However could i ask, how did you get the track all to yourself? That is absolutely brilliant, could you pass on details and costs?

thank you very much

all the best

If you're going to the Brunters bash this year Adam - methinks you'll be the fastest there by a more than a nose! You'll have to relinquish the crown Daz

to get the weight down he has resorted to piloting the car by remote control and will be controlling it from the back seat of his M5 while he chases the 993 and has a G&t whilst going down the straight.

Steve, tell us more about the Bullet Cam. Where did you get it from?/How Much £?/Is it easy to fit?

Hi

Bought from www.rfconcepts.co.uk/ - you'll need a video camera with analogue in (a yellow connection). It's the size of a lipstick (don't ask) and can be gaffered or permanently fixed wherever you like. Good quality images - the mic that you buy with it (not part of the camera) is way too sensitive for a noisy car - so most people use a cheapo mic from dixons.

Heres a pic of mine when it was fixed (via the windscreen washer hole) on my Caterham.
