Had anyone else forgotten that there are also local elections happening?

Since they've demonstrably rigged a number of the ballots this is hardly surprising.

At the last local elections Labour got the most fabulous drubbing EVER. My borough returned ONE, yes just ONE Labour councillor.

Which means, yes, they are likely to claw back council seats: amazingly they are not as unpopular as they were a couple of years ago...when they were massively unpopular. If there had been a General Election back then they would have been wiped off the political map.

That isn't going to happen, now. More's the pity.

Ah well, it doesn't matter if Labour claim Reading Borough Council back with a majority - we're moving in to safe blue country (with weekly rubbish collections!!!) within a month biggrin
